How to resolve a dispute fairly
When you can open a dispute, what to write as the reason, what then happens to the deal and the top-up, and how to avoid one.
First, try to fix the deal
A dispute is the last step, not the first. While you are still agreeing terms, handle a change with a counter-proposal. Until the work starts, even after the deal is accepted, you can cancel it; a paid top-up then goes back to whoever paid it. Even once the work is under way, tell the other side in the chat exactly what is missing and by when you need it. Many misunderstandings end with one factual message.
When you can open a dispute
The Open dispute button is in the deal while the work is in progress. If the deal has a top-up, it is also offered after completion, during the 3-day protection period before the top-up is released to the recipient. Once the top-up is released, or if the deal was cancelled, the button is no longer offered. For fraud or broken rules, also use the report option on the offer, request or member profile.
What to write as the reason
A dispute cannot be opened without a reason, and support sees what you write. Cover three things: what was agreed, what actually happened, and what you propose as a solution, such as finishing the work, a fix or returning the top-up. Point to specific messages in the chat. Send evidence, such as a photo or a PDF up to 5 MB, as an attachment in the deal chat before you open the dispute.
What happens once it is open
The deal is frozen and Vymenit.sk support takes over the case, receiving the dispute together with your reason. If a top-up is held in escrow, it is blocked and not released automatically. Send further details or documents through the contact form, which the deal links to directly. You cannot withdraw a dispute yourself; if you and the other side settle in the meantime, tell support through the same form.
How the top-up is decided
If the deal has a top-up in escrow, support decides whether to release it to the recipient or return it to the paying side. The more clearly the proposal states what is delivered, by when and to what standard, the easier it is to show who is right. If the deal has no top-up, there is nothing to release or return; the dispute records what happened and support sees it.
How to avoid a dispute
Agree a result, not just an activity, and split a bigger exchange into smaller parts. Handle changes with a counter-proposal while you are still agreeing terms, not after the fact. Confirm a handover in the chat with an attachment, and confirm your part in the deal when it is done. A clear record helps both sides and support if a dispute does come.
